September 2010
In response to many comments and questions about assisting local
musicians with buying, selling and trading used musical equipment,
the Hall of Fame organized and held the first annual Musicians
Community Swap Meet in the parking lot behind the Music Shoppe and Zamberletti's at 25th & Washington streets in Terre Haute, IN.
Due to a number of factors, there wasn't much advance news of the
event. Therefore, the turnout was light. However, we
learned a lot from the experience and expect the second annual event
to be bigger and better.

July 2010
As schools announced wave after wave of budget cuts, the Hall of
Fame recognized that music programs would be among the first to
suffer. Feeling that the Arts, and in particular music, are an
important part of a child's education, the Hall of Fame decided to
do whatever we can to support music programs in Wabash Valley
schools, and started the "Keep Music In Our
Wabash Valley Schools" fund. Our goal is
to build this fund to the point where we can make donations once or
twice a year, tailored to the needs of each school we help.
We have been setting up donation containers at our events, but we
don't hold enough events to raise all of the money we need make an
impact. We invite you to assist us in this cause by sending a
tax deductible donation to the Hall of Fame, to be placed in the
fund. Visit the
Contact Us page on this web site for our mailing address.
There are no administrative costs, so 100% of your donation goes to
help school programs.

February 2010
The Hall of Fame Facebook page opens for business. Our
Facebook page allows us to do things that aren't as easy to do on a
traditional web site. In particular, we are able to easily
communicate with our friends and keep them up-to-date on Hall
activities and events, as well as community events like fundraisers, etc., something our friends have been requesting for quite some time.
|
January 2010
The Hall of Fame sends wreaths or flowers to the funerals of all of
our members, if notified in time to do so. Starting in 2010,
we have a special permanent wreath that will be displayed at the
funeral home whenever possible.

year - our annual induction ceremony. The Hall felt the need
to give something back to the community, and started a new annual
event, the Picnic & Jam. At this event, people can enjoy good
food, good company and great music, all with no admission charge.
