Tributes to Bill Akers and Alva Grindle
We are grateful to all who helped to found the Hall of Fame and
guide it from its creation in 1994 until 2002, when induction
ceremonies ceased. In particular we remember Bill Akers, Alva
Grindle, Terry Haughee and Arlie Price. However, it was Bill
and Alva who played the key roles, coming up with the guidelines,
providing the facilities and performing many other functions in
support of the Hall. In addition, we honor Alva for restarting
the induction ceremonies in 2006 and setting up the Hall for future
success. See our tribute to these two great men.
